By singling out Dominion, the GOP has successfully deflected from legitimate election-security concerns involving America’s largest voting machine vendor, ES&S.

By Jennifer Cohn, 5/23/21
Although you would never know it to hear Trump and his allies scream about Dominion Voting, it was ES&S that deservedly received criticism in recent years. for:
* Donating $30,000 to the Republican State Legislative Committee since 2013
* Using lobbyists to make illegal secret donations to the decision makers in Philadelphia who then chose to replace Philadelphia’s old system with a controversial new system from ES&S
* Establishing a corrupt “advisory board” that it used as an excuse to fly state and local election officials to “conferences” in destinations like Las Vegas where ES&S paid for show tickets, open bars, hotel expenses, and nice restaurants
* Secretly selling election management systems containing remote-access software from 2000 through 2006
* Lying about internet connectivity to its precinct ballot scanners and receiving end systems
* Leaking its employee passwords in Illinois.
* Leaking data for 1.8 M voters in Chicago
* Wrongly targeting 1600 eligible Ohio voters for purging from the state’s list of registered voters
* Servicing and maintaining the Diebold touch screen systems that made black votes inexplicably disappear in Georgia (2018) and Memphis (2015).
* Supplying the electronic poll books that suffered an epic failure in a recent Indiana election
* Conducting its own hash validation testing, the crucial process that election administrators are supposed to conduct to ensure that a vendor has not supplied them with unauthorized voting software.
* Attempting to bully legitimate critics into silence with threats of litigation.
